A Barrie clinic built around certified VR therapy delivery.
Better Relief VR is a clinical service provider, not a technology developer. We deliver supervised virtual reality therapy programmes built by established VR platform vendors, from a private clinic in Barrie, Ontario, located next to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and serving Simcoe County and the surrounding area. Every session is non-invasive, outpatient, private-pay, and runs 45 minutes with a certified technician in the room. No referral required.
Founded and led by Omid Torabi.
Omid Torabi is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Better Relief VR. His background is in complex systems engineering and regulated operational environments, disciplines built around process control, safety protocols and disciplined documentation.
That background shapes how the clinic runs: sessions follow a defined protocol, delivery is standardized technician to technician, and the clinic treats documentation and client safety screening as core operating requirements, not an afterthought.
Mr. Torabi built Better Relief VR on a simple premise: the therapeutic technology already exists and is published by established vendors. What a clinic can add is disciplined, supervised, in-person delivery.
What the clinic delivers

Where is Better Relief VR located?
Better Relief VR is located at Unit 207, 1 Quarry Ridge Rd in the Royal Court Medical Centre in Barrie, Ontario, directly adjacent to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), the primary acute-care hospital serving Simcoe County. That location was a deliberate choice, not a coincidence.
Royal Court Medical Centre
Barrie, Ontario L4M 7G1
Directly adjacent to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), giving clients a familiar, easy-to-reach location alongside the region's main hospital campus. This is convenient for referrals, follow-up care and caregivers already visiting RVH.
A fast-growing region with real, unmet demand.
Chronic pain affects roughly 19% of Canadian adults, and the prevalence is higher in the 40-plus population that makes up a large share of Simcoe County's growing base.
Demand for non-drug options is also being driven by opioid-reduction initiatives and by regional wait times for outpatient rehabilitation and mental-health services. Better Relief VR gives people in Barrie and Simcoe County another option to access sooner, alongside the care they're already receiving, without a prescription and without a referral.

How does Better Relief VR handle evidence and claims?
Better Relief VR only cites efficacy statistics that are published by name by our platform vendors, Mynd Immersive and PsyTech VR, and we never present their published research as a Better Relief VR outcome. We deliver programmes they build, we do not develop the technology ourselves, and we are careful about the difference between what they've published and what we can honestly claim.
We cite the vendor, not ourselves
Any efficacy figure you see on this site, such as pain reduction or anxiety reduction, is published research from Mynd Immersive or PsyTech VR and their research partners, always named and linked to its source. It describes their studies, not outcomes measured in our clinic, and we never present it otherwise.
Neither platform holds a Health Canada licence
Neither Mynd Immersive nor PsyTech VR holds Health Canada medical device clearance. PsyTech VR holds an FDA establishment registration (Owner/Operator 10095803, Listing D598351). That is a registration to manufacture, not a clearance or approval of any claim, and we don't describe it as one.
Please read this carefully. Statistics referenced on this site are published by the platform developers, Mynd Immersive and PsyTech VR, and their research partners, and describe their studies, not outcomes measured at Better Relief VR. Individual results vary. Virtual reality therapy is used to complement care. It does not replace medical treatment, medication, or advice from your physician. Neither platform holds a Health Canada medical device licence. VR is not suitable for everyone: people with epilepsy or photosensitive seizure disorders, severe vertigo or motion sensitivity, or active psychosis should speak with our team before booking.
