Start with a conversation,
not a commitment.
Tell us what you are dealing with and we will arrange a free, no-obligation consultation at our Barrie clinic. We will give you a straight answer about whether VR therapy can help, and tell you plainly if it cannot.
Three steps, no pressure.
You send this form
It takes about two minutes. Nothing you enter commits you to anything, and we will not add you to a mailing list.
We call you back
A member of the team contacts you the way you asked, usually within one business day, to understand your situation and answer questions.
We book, or we don't
If VR therapy is a reasonable fit we arrange your consultation. If it is not, we will say so and point you elsewhere.
Tell us a little about you.
Required fields are marked. Please keep detailed medical information out of this form. We will cover that securely during your consultation.
Tell us about these three things.
Virtual reality is safe for most people, but not for everyone. We screen for the following at your consultation. If any apply to you, it does not automatically rule out treatment. It changes how we approach it.
Epilepsy or photosensitivity
Headset content includes light and motion. If you have epilepsy or a photosensitive seizure disorder, tell us before your first session so we can adapt or advise against it.
Vertigo or motion sensitivity
Immersive environments can trigger dizziness or nausea in people prone to motion sickness. We start with static, low-motion scenes and build up only if you are comfortable.
Active psychosis
Immersive environments are not appropriate during an acute psychotic episode. If this applies, speak with your treating clinician and our team before booking.
Please read this carefully. A consultation request is not a confirmed appointment and does not create a clinician-patient relationship. Virtual reality therapy is used to complement care. It does not replace medical treatment, medication, or advice from your physician. Neither of the platforms used at Better Relief VR holds a Health Canada medical device licence. If your situation is urgent, or you are in crisis, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. In Canada you can also reach the Suicide Crisis Helpline at 988, 24 hours a day.
